CURRENTLY SEEKING PRODUCTION MANAGER

New York City Dance Alliance is seeking to hire a salaried, full-time Production Manager for our touring educational dance workshops and dance competitions. The ideal candidate should be a dynamic, organized, multi-tasking leader and team player, with proven management and communication skills; responsible for all production/technical aspects of 30+ city weekend workshop events, plus a variety of corporate theatrical performances and special events. This position is ideal for someone with a corporate event or concert background.

In addition to our touring events, we produce two dance Intensives in NYC. One is Dec. 27-Dec. 31 and one is in July/August. Each event week ends with an in-studio showcase performance, managed by the Production Manager.

New York City Dance Alliance also operates a non-profit scholarship foundation that hosts two fundraising events per year. A dance concert at the Joyce Theater and the Chita Rivera Awards, which serves the Broadway community. The Production Manager is an integral part of planning both events.

Duties include , but are not limited to, scheduling production staff and event labor, coordination of all venue preparation and venue communication, planning/tracking of all expenses, maintenance of all theatrical production equipment and company vehicles, and all technical coordination for events sponsored by the company.

Additional requirements and skills:

• Ability to travel 15-20 weeks a year - mostly Thursday through Monday, October to May and the month of July
• Ability to work varying schedules including nights and weekends
• Warehouse and Inventory maintenance
• Strong general knowledge of sound, lights and video – general technical director skills
• Comfortable with or knowledgeable about stage decking.
• Proficient in using Q-Lab Video and Sound cueing software.
• Comfortable using the Hog4 Lighting Console.
• General video and livestream knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of digital sound consoles and digital routing. We use the M32R.
• Driver license and comfortable driving a 15 seat passenger van or 15’ to 26’ box trucks.
• Comfortable with working around children ages 6-18.
• Willing to participate in day-to-day office operations.

The PM must be NYC/NJ based. Company offices are in West New York, NJ with warehouse in Jersey City, NJ. All transportation, meals and hotel room are provided on tour.

Salary range is $80,000-$95,000 based on experience. Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K plans are available.
